It was hardly ever used but it was used. I tested it and it works great but as a family we literally never toast things but once in a blue moon. I just needed counter space so ...no more toast for us on those very rare occasions lol. It is beauiful but has scattered toast crumbs possibly inside since you can't get all the way INSIDE to clean it.
